Anybody tried a Tenzing in the backcountry yet? Im getting real curious about the TZ6000 and TZ5000 for backcountry elk, and wondering if anybody has comments.

I just picked up a tz5000 and have taken it out on one scouting trip. I am impressed so far, it fits well and is very comfortable. The adjustable torso length is awesome. I also have a badlands 4500 and the one thing i dont like about it is the longer torso which causes the pack to sit a little lower on my hips. The tenzing doesn't have that issue. It is very well built and all the features are great. I cant wait to try out the expandable meat section, that seems like a great design. Overall I think it is a great pack!

Thanks for the info. I'm going to Denver this weekend, hopefully I can get my hands on one and try it on to see how it fits me. Im debating between the Tenzing, Eberlestock, and Blacks Creek. I tried on some Badlands at a convention in Las Vegas last winter, seemed alright but I feel like I can probably do better.
