Any Outfitter spots left?

I'm still leaning towards doing a DIY Archery Elk hunt for wyoming this year but I'm still considering hiring an outfitter.

Now, pretty much all the outfitters I've checked that guide in the wilderness area's are booked out for 2015, but I figured with the draw results being released soon. There may be some spots opening up....

So, I'm pretty much only looking for a guide that goes into the residents only wilderness area, but that will be covered with a general tag. For archery.

If anyone works for, or knows of any I'd love to hear about em... It still may be out of my budget, but who knows...

Doubtful you will find an outfitter to do a drop camp for you...I do not know of any outfitters in WY that are allowed by permit to do so. it is very common in CO, but as far as I know most outfitters in WY are not allowed to, for the most part. Best bet is to just check with outfitters down in that region, and especially if you are willing to go guided...get on a reserve list with some of these outfitters in case there clients dont draw or back out.

mntnguide is correct. Drop camps on wilderness are not allowed for non-residents as they would be hunting unguided. Most of the general tag outfitters with a good reputation will be booked. Your best chance is to find a newer one still trying to build up a business. If you're going to pay for the guided hunt though I would recommend booking with a reputable, proven, outfitter.

If you draw a tag, you will likely be contacted by some outfitters who still have some openings. They may well have those openings for a reason, but it could also be because some clients didn't draw a tag. Do your due dilligance and check references, including some hunters who didn't fill their tag.

Call Ralph Greene with Tag and Drag - he will get you set up for a drop camp or with a guide in Wilderness near Teton's. They killed some good bulls last year on the archery hunt. Salt River Range Outfitters is also doing drop camps this year on their permit.
