Hey Everybody,

Haven't had anytime to get out and scout the area because I have been tied up with college. I am going to get the time off to do the hunt though but dont have a clue about where to go once I get up there. Haven't hunted the area before but am inclined to hunt it as hard as I can and am a solo foot hunter but have a quad I can bring along as well. Just wondering if anyone has any information or ideas about where I can find a cow up there and put some meat in my freezer this year without taking off to much school.

Thanks,

Those are great units. Just find a road that goes into the hill and glass. You will find some cows.

Take the ATV. Hunter info sheets say its very difficult to get over a mile from the road. Its a big area with scattered elk and could take some time to narrow down areas to hunt.

Ride your ATV to good glassing spots, then once you've spotted some elk, park it and go get em. Chances are good those elk will be as high and far from the road as they can get..
