Antelope buck horns

Just wondering how the bucks are holding their horns. Any information from the Sheridan area would be great. Hoping for some good bucks still holding the week of Thanksgiving for my 15 year old son on his first antelope hunt.

No idea about this year, but in past years most sheaths are shed by now where I hunt in SE MT. I think you are in very tough around Thanksgiving.

I've always heard they start dropping in early November, but I personally haven't witnessed it.

They are shedding horns now around Laramie. Some are losing them and some are still holding on. You'll find some shed and be careful moving a buck around, they will come off in your hand this time of the year. Look around and pick up some horns at fence crossings.
