Another Preference Point question.

This may be a stupid question but here goes, I currently have 5 pps for deer. A group of guys want to go hunting next year in a area that we should be able to draw in the random drawing.

If I apply in the random drawing and I am successful with my first choice, will I loose my PPs.
Also, after applying in the random will I be able to purchase a PP this year?

You can’t apply in the “random” drawing. You apply. The draw takes place and there is a preference and random component to it. If you draw your first choice, however or wherever it is drawn, you use your points. If you draw your second or third choice, you do not use your points.
