Good evening everyone, I hope tonight finds you all well. It's Friday! Anyways, I wanted to take a moment for my introduction...

My name is Whitney, Nevada Fly Girl. I fly fish and tie the odd fly, but I also love to chase elk. I've been fortunate to grow up in the Eastern Sierras, and pursue my love of fly fishing. I've also been blessed with the ability to pursue my passion to hunt, and share it with people. I love learning new things, new places, and new people.

I am a hairstylist by trade, but I'm far from being a princess. I work hard so I can play harder. I eat meat, I make vegetables cry, I practice catch and release, and ethical fair chase. I'm lucky somedays, and others not so much. I'm a humble person and take nothing for granted, because at the end of the day I hope to have learned something new.

I hope you'll all be happy to welcome me, and I can provide a little local Nevada knowledge, be it hunting or fishing. I hope to lean on some of you as well if the need arises.

Thanks all, and have a great weekend! If I don't chat with any of you by then, I hope the dads here have a lovely and blessed Fathers day!

Whitney, NVFlyGirl

Nice Cutt Pic! Welcome to the forum. Flyfishing is a great time from Steelhead to Saltwater - I look forward to your input.

Welcome. Being from the eastern Sierras you probably know my former stomping grounds before I moved to Colorado. Used to work at Red's Meadows near Mammoth while I was in college. I love to fish too. I am attaching a pix of some real rare trout.......do you know what they are?trout.jpg Look forward to more of you posts.

@ Ivorytip, some places at Pyramid lake have long sandy benches before reaching the drop offs where the cuttys cruise, so it allows us to get closer to them without being half submerged in cold water all day.

@ Colorado Cowboy, that's a sweet haul of Goldens! Lots of great places for those special little beauties!

@missjordan, thank you! Glad to make your acquaintance!

Feel free to peruse my pics, I'm no trout snob, and always happy when the line goes tight.

Thank you all again for the warm welcomes!
