I may be crazy but I could not help myself. I have three Model Seven and one Savage 16 in 260 Remington caliber. A guy heard I liked the caliber and came by with an A-Bolt II in the caliber today and I bought it. Only the second one I have seen in an A-Bolt. Now all four grandchildren and I have one in that caliber. Like I needed another rifle!

It's like that Midway USA commercial says:
"How many rifles does a man need?"

"Well, at least one more."

Got it cleaned and scoped and carried to the range today. Since I am low on the shells the boys shoot I decided to see what the 140 grain bullets would do as I have two boxes that we don't shoot. They shot a 1.5 inch group twice cooling between shots. I will get stocked up on some more 120 grain Fusions the next time I'm in Tupelo and see if it will tighten up. On another note after I pushed the safety off I couldn't get it back to safe. I was puzzled. After disassembling twice I remembered a spacer from my other A-Bolt that is missing from this rifle. Ordered one today. Also sighted in my 444. That makes 8 I have sighted in since last Thursday. 5 260's, 1 7RM, 1 308 and the 444. I love this stuff!

Hi Mr. Drysdale,

If it works, ain't no sense fixin' it.

I've yet to read a negative anything about the .260 Rem.

I wish you many very successful hunting seasons.
