Just wondering if everyone is expierencing ammo shortage? My cousin is a certified instructor for concealed carry classes. We are giving a class today & we let everyone that wants to qualify with an auto shoot our 22's. You can not buy 22 shells within 50 miles of my house right now. All the ammo has been picked over. Wal-mart has a sign that limits 2 boxes per customer. Not sure what is going on with that yet. Anyway just curious, have a good day!

That and the reelection of a Democratic president. Soon as the election was decided, the industry became swamped with buyers.

I figured the shootings & the election had the ammo sold out. I was referring to the two limit box of shells per customer. I'm assuming Wal-Mart took it up on themselves to do that?

Same thing happened 4 years ago when Obama was elected the first time. Doesn't take much for the hoarders to think they don't have enough stockpiled yet. Same thing will (or is) happen to reloading components. Black style rifles are already gone.

Most ammo is backordered. The local gunshops around here say they can't order any ARs or aren't confident that their AR orders will come in. It's a buying frenzy out there.

Ya it's rediculas! No .223 in 55 grain anywhere I have found on the net. I did find .762x51 on Cheaper then Dirt! I just made my order. If anyone knows of a web site that still has .223 55 gr let me know. Thanks

Other than rimfire, I reload everything. I try to keep plenty of components on hand. I have around 20,000 primers (shotgun, sm & lg pistol, sm & lg rifle), probably 30,000 bullets and 500# of shot. Lots of wads too. I am down to about 2,000 (4 bricks) of .22 target ammo. Might seem like a lot, but I shoot in a BullsEye Pistol league every week, shoot in a Cowboy Action match almost every week and practice 2 or 3 days a week. I shoot about 2000 rounds a week.
Leaving Tuesday for a regional Cowboy Action Shoot in Az, there will be 250+ shooters there for 3 days shooting.

Good luck CC at the shoot. With all that practice you do each week, I sure would want you on my side at the OK corral. Best wishes to you in the coming week ahead.

So I was at Cabelas working today and wondered over by the ammo and found 223 ammo in 50gr! I usually shoot 55 but I'm not going to be picky. They only allow 10 boxes at a time so I made a few trips to the truck. Bring on the coyotes!

Welcome home buddy! 5th place is nothing to be ashamed of for sure. I was wondering about you yesterday. I guess you and your better half can relax a few days before Belize! Good to hear from you, post some pics when you get caught up.
