My hunting pardner and I just set the alaknak up yesterday, with the vestibule. I'm not sure we had it 100% correct. Same deal the little instructions on the vestibule storage bag is like Egyptian hieroglyphics. I have looked on you tube for help, nothing found.

Cabelas wasn't any help either
The problem I am starting to see is the Cabela's customer service are not original Cabela's employees or just do not know their catalog. I never had a problem before the sale to Bass Pro, but since the sale, I had a specific question about the lifetime warranty for the alaknak and the person helping me didn't even know what the alaknak tent was. Needless to say I ended the conversation extremely frustrated.

I am thinking about getting the 12x12 to replace my 9.5x9.5 so hopefully the vestibule instructions are getting clearer as I think that tent comes with a free vestibule right now.

I never seem to be able to set mine up correctly. There always seems to be a gap at the sides.

Great tent. Love mine. 12x12 with the vestibule but same issue. I guess now I will just accept that's the way it goes. Thanks for the post. Now I feel better about my skills :)

The vestibule clips to the tent awning pole. I think there may be a very small white tag in the center / top of the vestibule end that clips to the pole. Towards the bottom, there should be some velcro straps that go around the pole. Also, make sure you locate all of the loops to stake the vestibule down. I think there may be some at the 'tent end' to stake it down to prevent gaps.

You need to have the tent pretty much completely set up before attaching the vestibule.

It's been since last year when I last set mine up, so I am going off memory. I will be setting it up 'for real' in a little more than a week.

I emailed the Cabela's corporate office suggesting that they do a how video on their website, they thought that was a good suggestion. Hopefully they follow through
