I am going to get me a .177 cal air rifle. Looking at all the different ones, hard to figure out a good one. Looking for something at least 1000fps. Used to be Beemans was a really good choice. I also want a scope on it.

What say you..........................?

A few years ago I asked the same question on another site. I came up with a RWS 350 Magnum

I haven't scoped it yet but it does have a rail for a scope. It is a very accurate rifle even with the open sights and my eyes.

I have found that it works great on eurasian doves that my neighbor keeps feeding that then come into my yard.

I figured why should the cats in the neighborhood have all the good eating?

There's a lot of good air guns on the market today. Attached is a link to of some of the best for 2020 that won't break the bank. Good luck selecting one.

I have a $100-ish Gamo Cheetah or something like that - 1250 fps, some weird "suppressor" thing built into the barrel. At 1250 a 177 pellet will punch thru a 3/4 sheet of plywood at 50 feet or a privacy fence and a squirrel that is peaking over it at you = BIG puff of fur there.
