10x all the way. 12x or 15x with a tripod would be OK if you wanted to eliminate carrying a spotting scope to save some weight, but those are difficult for offhand glassing.
10x out west, 8x for treestand hunting. I've had a pair of ZenRay ED2's, ED3's and now have a pair of the Primes. I also have their 80mm spotting scope. Really good glass for the money IMO.
Well I got the vortex talon hd 8x32. Cabelas had a heck of a sale. My wife seen them and went and was there when the store openend and bought me a pair. I had to work. I'm lucky to have a good woman. $290 out the door think it was a good buy
I have a pair of 8x Leica Ultravid HDs that are great in the thick and in the open. I prefer the wider field of view. Upgraded from Nikon Monarch 5 10x. 8x was the right call for me.
