I think that's the point, many pass off information as if they have personal knowledge of areas, when I know from their comments, they haven't set foot in them.

Some of the information being shared here is 5+ years out of date. I think its sad that some will send an unknowing hunter into a unit they haven't personally been, giving unrealistic opinions on trophy/hunt quality. If I had 7 points in Wyoming right now, I would look a lot deeper than a record book, advice from the internet, and a recommended area color code.

Lots of other good sources for information out there...I'd be wayyy more inclined to spend some time talking with biologists, wardens, etc. than reading a magazine or asking for help on a hunting forum.
I can appreciate this...thank you.

All - thanks for the information.

Didn't mean to start a peeing match on here amongst hunting brethren.

Don't believe you started anything. Someone had an ax to grind and decided to do so, happens time to time. Generally, it's best if one zips it if they have nothing good to say. Dustups don't happen much on EF, which is one of the main reasons I choose to participate here. I'd take lostinOregon up on his offer, he offered solid advice on a couple different levels.

No problem, if the other advice doesn't suit your needs, shoot me a PM, I can help you out with some solid information on a few units. Units that are well worth burning 7 points on, for both hunt quality and pronghorn quality.

You have plenty of time before apps are due, and I'll be traveling around the State here in a couple weeks to see what's what. My job gets me into the field 100+ days a year.

I also know, and talk regularly, with biologists from all corners of Wyoming as well.

Seeing what happens in the next month will make offering specifics much easier and more realistic...so far, so good in most of Wyoming.

As a NR who had hunted elk and mule deer in WY, I found myself with 6 antelope points and no idea as where to start. As a public land hunter, I had never sweated the details relating to the wests draconian trespass laws, but the more I looked into an antelope hunt, the more I found the maps were covered with the private checkerboard pattern. A forum member ended up helping me with reams of info, and even mailed me a map with his recommended hunt area gridded out. I ended up with a nice buck and 2 does, and went back last year for a doe and rabbit hunt. Most info relating to the specifics of a hunt area will (or should) be communicated via PM.
With the marked out map, and the OnyxMap app., a NR can hunt the chosen area with some confidence that he won't trespass.

With 7 points you have many options to look over. You are doing the right thing by seeking advice and looking for a unit that you will have a good hunt. In my opinion it is hard to have a bad antelope hunt in Wyoming, no matter what unit you choose.

Buzz has been banned from other sites because of his attitude. I'm sure he will take a shot at me for posting this but I just don't like bully's and Buzz fits that bill. He has a few folks that worship him, but Eastman's would be better off to send him on his way also.

I personally hunted 67 last year for antelope and can tell you what I saw and learned. Good luck on your search and if I can answer any questions for you let me know.

Just quick fact. Buzz has done more for hunters in Wyoming than most people here realize. He gives good advice and is brutally honest. A trait that some thinner skinned folks might find offensive. Banning someone for telling the truth? C'mon.
