61-4 vs 62-5

My wife was unsuccessful in the draw so now I'm checking the leftover list for her. Which of these two would yield more opportunity and overall be a better hunt for a first time elk hunter? I have an opinion for each one but want to hear what you guys think first.

Area 61-4
Quota of 100, 49 Licenses Leftover
Oct. 15 - Dec. 21, 44% Success Rate

Area 62-5
Quota of 200, 48 Licenses Leftover
Oct. 22 - Dec. 21, 41% Success Rate

Elkoholic, sorry I don't have any knowledge on the two units, I wish I did!

Elk,

We hunted 61 a few year back in early Dec. We went 50% for the 4 of us but two of the guys were not in good shape or we would have filled all 4 tags. We hunted a ranch that the game dept and gained access to. We also hunted two days with the Game dept, they took us on some private ground but that was a waste of time, although we saw elk there.
