I'm debating the same thing, almost. Trying to decide on either a 7mm/08, a 6.5 creedmoor or a .260 Remington. The 6.5 & the .260 are an either-or thing ballistics wise, but the 7mm has a wider choice of bullets for reloading. As for the rifle, I've been looking at a Browning X bolt at 6 & 1/2 lbs. Or a Savage #19207 Light Weight Hunter. I'm pretty sure that the Savage will be coming home with me. From the research that I've done, the Savage LWH gets rave reviews for accuracy due to that excellent trigger. And coming in at 5 1/2 lbs. doesn't hurt either. Every ounce counts, you carry them more than you shoot them! I have a Winchester Stainless Classic in 30.06 now....but it seems to get heavier every year that I get closer to hitting 70. Good luck with your choice, and good luck hunting.
