4th Season Excitment

Spent all day Tuesday in the unit my 4th season tag is in. They had a little snow early on, but only small amount up in the La Sals. I talked to several hunters (3rd season hunters) and no one had seen any elk. I also talked to the Warden who told me a few moved down after the snow, but were gone now.

Unless we get some weather, I'll stay home.

I would try somewhere a little lower in elevation! Lots of snow up high.

How did the 4th season go for everyone? Weather was warm and the elk seemed to still be at higher elevations where I was at. Killed my bull at 8600 ft. but seen great sign all the way up to 10,000. Snow

Wife had a 4th buck tag in a cool beans unit that we did not fill it this year.

Fun hunt for sure she passed on a couple bucks one we should not have but - on the last day it worked out as we located a very big typical but she could not find him in the scope as he was chasing a doe in oak brush then as happens he poof disappeared. Spent til dark last day looking for him. Super fun hunt w a lot of laughs.
