Buddy has one, he says pretty hard to find factory ammo for it. He doesn't reload so not an option for him. Bout all i know about them!

I have one. Shoots good, reasonable recoil. I do reload. But nosler loads 200gr accubonds factory and winchester loads 180gr,200gr and 220gr. I have shot factory nosler and winchester 200gr both shot 3/4" . I really like this gun but if not a reloader and i had one i would get a load that shoots good and buy a bunch.

I would personally look at either a .300wm or .338wm if you want something in that realm. .300wsm gets you into the short magnums if that is your goal. I'd be really concerned about factory load availability. Factory ammo availability is still an issue if you reload; you limit the number of potential buyers if you decide to sell the rifle to ones that only reload.

good/great round? sure.

Popular? not so much, I'm not sure how long it'll last.

the 270 and 300wsm seem to be here to stay.

I think if you couldn't get it done with the 300wsm and need more gun, my choice probably would be something bigger like a 338/375 not the 325 wsm.
