300 H&H.....Any one use it.

I hunt with a 300 H&H. From what I know it was one of the first "long range" guns in the 1930's. My gun is from the 1950's and was passed down to me from my Grandfather. With a new scope and Federal Premium ammo it shoots 1 inch groups and will go with me on every hunt until I am too old to hunt.

I have read that too where it was the first long range cartridge. I have a older gun in 300 H&H but was looking to get a single shot in the 300 H&H. Have you taken any game with it.

The H&H sends 30 cal projectiles at similar velocities as the 300 WSM. So the H&H performs on game similarly to the WSM. The only major difference is the length of action and magazine. That is not usually much of a problem on single shot rifles though.
