30-06 and 180 gr bullet load suggestions

I'd use a 165 NP or Sierra Pro Hunter bullet if chasing elk. If the shortage continues I'd be stuck with the 150 gr versions.

180 seems reasonable for elk but we never used em and instead went w 165 for northern ME deer and 1 moose. These days i shoot 150s out of 3006 when using it.

I use 180 gr nosler partition with 56 gr I received-4350, gives 2700 FPS. Gives less than 1 moa accuracy. Also shoot the federal 180 gr nosler partition, which chrono’ s slower than box says. It gives right at 1 moa accuracy
