My dad won a .257wby at a MDF banquet last week. I know nothing about Weatherby calibers, he was looking to just buy some factory ammo to use on deer and antelope. Anyone have some recommendations?

the 100gr TSX load seemed to be the goto for many.... I think now they only load the tipped TSX so even better!

I think they have a 110 Accubond or similar load?

100 TTSX
110 Accubond

Congratulations on the new rifle your dad is going to love it. Weatherby ammo can be pricey but they are now selling a 100 gr round for about $40 a box. I bought a couple boxes because I wanted the brass. It is actually very accurate ammo but the lower BC of the bullet and the slower muzzle velocity of 3500 vs 3600 causes it to not deliver the long range performance that you would expect from a 257 wby. That being said it would be a good choice for breaking in the new gun and deer hunting at moderate range. I did shoot 1 whitetail with it at about 150 yards and it piled up on impact. All of the options mentioned already will perform wonderfully in your Dads new gun.
