2026 Opening Day

I took one of our honorary members out on our club for the opening, He's mobility challenged so I used a small boat to get him into my Ducks Unlimited blind that sits out in the pond. We had a great day both getting our limits. One of the best openers in a while with a lot of local birds.

Went out yesterday afternoon in a rainstorm and limited out again. I hunted a blind no one likes; it's our handicap blind. Except I waded across from the blind and made a seat in a bullrush clump were I always see ducks landing just out of range. You have to be calculated when shooting to make sure they drop in the open water because it is very thick outside that pocket. It was raining so hard water was dripping out of my gun. Tore it down when I got home and ready to go. Sorry conditions didn't allow for a better picture.
