Second outing chasing bears in NM this season. For this trip I had to change locations since my initial unit closed due to the harvest quota being met earlier this month.
At this new location there was lots of bear sign around giving me hope for the days/weeks to come. Did some glassing and tried the predator call with negative results. More soon.

2025 prhunter NM Black Bear Hunt (Pt 1)
This is the first hunt of my 2025-2026 season. Weather did not cooperate much as it rained almost every day while we were out there. Not a single bear spotted on this outing. Not sure if the hot temps, other hunters/outfitters in the area or the lack of acorns contributed to no bear sightings...
