I am a member of a 4 person party that didn't get drawing for our first choice Wyoming GMU's. So we went for Unit 24 left over tags and got drawn. Trouble is we have no idea of where to go. Almost all I read is that you pretty much need to pay a rancher a trespass fee in order to access private and public land that hold antelope. Being Arizona gents and without a list of ranchers offering access fees, and no knowledge of where to go I sure could use some help. We are all 4 in our 40's and 60's, engineers and managers so not big on destruction of property and consider hunting a privilege not a right.
I hope someone could throw us some ideas.

Best Regards,
Alan

It is a tough one. The good thing is there are antelope over every hill it seems like. It will take some research but I think its possible to have a good time there. There are a few public roads that intersect BLM, the walk-in area on Bishop Road, maybe look along Keeline or Hilight Roads, just make sure they are public offshoot roads. I think both intersect some BLM, Grassland or state sections. Probably one to talk to the warden or BLM offices about.

I think its in the Sheridan Region, but not positive, and I make no guarantees about the accuracy of this list. I don't know of another list, sorry. The chamber of commerce in Gillette used to have a list you could call for, but I haven't really checked on that either. I am not really seeing much other than outfitters on quick search.

Get onX maps if you don't have it already. Looks like there are portions of the Thunder Basin Grassland in that unit also. The USFS has a map for the grasslands for $10.

Thank you everyone for the help. We have ordered about every map we can on the area :) I do plan on purchasing the "onXMaps" chip for my Garmin hand held. Looks like the way to go to stay legal and respectful to property owners. Thank you AgainsttheWind for the link. I looked for a list of land owners with trespass fee's on the Game and Fish web site it looked to me that the list was discontinued this year. So I am happy to see there may be one. Again, I thank you all very very much.
Cheers,
Alan

Bummer! GMU 24 is in the Gillette and Reno Junction hut areas. The land owner list has nothing for those two regions. Back to the drawing board.
