Today CFW posted the new 2017 regs. D6 is a premium zone this year.

They cut some x zone tags quota by more than half. Couple to note: X9a, x9b and x12 all got tag cuts both in archery and gun. At least thr state is doing something. If it was up to me I would make a 3 point or better antler restriction and open Mt lion hunting again.

It will be interesting to see how people change their strategy on those zones that had tag reduction. If you were on the fence with points you probably have no chance now. Also will push them to D zones and easier to draw zones. Either way really doesn't affect me as I didn't have enough points to draw those zones to begin with.

x5b sounded good this year. There was weather on the third day of the season which prolly helped cuz I was huntin just down the road. snow didn't help me but maybe got the deer moving up there. I still tagged a buck. Avatar buck was x5b buck from 2011

Got my application in today for deer, unless there's a large point creep I should draw. Otherwise I'll settle for a couple otc zones. My sister has a 30% chance her jr draw. She has a prosthetic leg and never hunted before, so I really want her to get it and I can take her out!

Got mine in today. Fingers crossed for a X zone. If not D3-5 for me

Mine went in last Friday. If I don't draw I'm ok with that as I plan to spend most of my time in D7 anyway.

He was a good buck, Really symmetrical for sure. Only about a 150's though. Going x first choice then gonna try to get a buck up on the ocean in B4.
