Ok, now that the topic of optics have been raised. Can anyone recommend a quality brand that wont break the bank? Most people advise purchasing the best optics money can buy, but a starting point would be great. Swaroski and Ziess are out of my budget, but I know there a ton of other companies out there. Thanks guys.

Burris and Leopold are good glass for the price in my opinion. Anything below 10 power is a waste of time. Get a good Bino system.
I believe the deadline for the draw has been moved out to May. Both deer and antelope. You have ever more time research and see what winter brings to the herd.

10x42 binoculars are a must. Steiner, Vortex, Maven, Cabela's brand are good. Go to a big sporting goods retailer and look through them, find one you like jump on the internet and see where you can find them the cheapest. A good hand held GPS is a must, with the land ownership chip. I've got the Garmin Oregon, and really like it.

Any of the Major Blue chips will need Special tag money. Seriously look at 65, 107, 106 regular NR PP. All public lands, lots of goats and beautiful country. Lander is close to re fuel or even motel it. If you spend a week in this country you will have a blast. Elk , deer, antelope, coyote, moose, all types of grouse. Atlantic City bar is a must. Cowboy up!,,,stick with my prong above the ear and you will have a blast. Bring your trout rod and fish the creeks for awesome trout!!

Can you draw 57 with the special and 7 pts? A lot of areas in central and south central didn't produce many quality bucks this year. However 57 was the exception. After last season, I'm hearing rumors its probably at the top of the heat in terms of trophy quality.
