no kidding! he was a fatty. I was using a cd rapala and while reeling in I got hung up in vegetation on the bottom and a sculpin managed to get hooked. my hands were freezing and didn't want to take gloves off so just flung it out there as was and started jigging it when this guy slammed it on the drop. was a fun morning! I didn't realize how small those teals are!

I kill every merganser I can. I like to take my driftboat up on the trinity river and steelhead fish and blast those suckers. Couple fish, couple ducks make for a good weekend. Cheers

i talked with some guys at work today and they said this guy does it often and that he does it when birds aren't moving around getting the action going, another guy told me that he's a bush pilot in Alaska and practices along the river. ive never seen him down there before and I fish the hell out of that river until it freezes. most people I talked to about it said it doesn't bother them. im new to the whole duck and goose game and figured it would chase the birds off the water into the fields???
Wasn't me!! My airplane is blue!

Another good shoot this morning! My buddy and I went out with his boys! Had a two man limit by 8! Stuck around for awhile so we could land some birds on the water for his oldest to shoot! Good time!

Went out on Thanksgiving day, thank God for all the greenwings that showed up, cause the mallards just weren't doing it. We worked 1 mallard all morning, but had really good teal action.
The 2am wakeup made for a great post turkey dinner nap!

We need some weather and some ducks bad, or our season is going to be over before it gets a chance to get going!

It's been the same up in eastern Nebraska. We have had a couple ok shoots, but nothing to brag about. We are at a 1/3 of our typical bag numbers for the year. We had a good push about 10 days ago. Unfortunately everything went to Mound City.
