How can they open the second draw before the results of the main draw are released?

I think those are last years 2nd draw dates....or they've already determined who won tags and it's all a Ponzi scheme :hide:

I used to think NDOW was one of the better websites, but over the last few years the mistakes and lack of info (late release) are getting worse.

Believe it or not, there were a lot of people in the low double digit numbers who drew sheep tags.
I drew a Desert Sheep tag in 2011 with 10 points. It took 12 points to draw a Bull Elk tag in 2014. Never know what luck may bring us .

Anyone comment on the Ruby snowpack at the moment?

Worst I saw it was about ten years ago, thinking it's similar at the moment.

These are the readings as of today at these locations in the Ruby mtns.
First column is elevation and last column is percent of normal. Second to last column is snow depth inches.
Average for the basin is 126% of normal. It's good to see this for a change.

CLOVER VALLEY & FRANKLIN RIVER
Corral Canyon 8500 19.2 14.4 133 23.1 16.8 138
Dorsey Basin 8100 12.1 13.2 92 22.9 18.4 124
Green Mountain 8000 16.2 14.3 113 24.5 18.4 133
Hole-in-Mountain 7900 -M 16.2 * -M 21.5 *

It looks like a typo on the NDOW website. Page 20 on the regs show a main drawing results on the 10th and 2nd draw period opening on the 10th. http://www.eregulations.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/2016NVBG_LR.pdf

Apps are in!! Results can not get here soon enough. Depending on NM, I may be getting a new bow for any upcoming archery hunts!!!

I was in the Ruby valley on an elk hunt in November and it snowed quite a bit on the mountains while we were there. I'm sure there has been a ton of snow dumped up there this winter

Here is an update from the Ruby Mtn heli-skiing site. Looks like it's been a good year.
March 29, 2016

The Ruby 2016 season may be over. But winter is not. The Lamoille Valley woke up to heavy snow and it is still snowing with more than 2 feet measured in the valley at 6,000 feet. One of the biggest storms in recent memory. Snotel snow measuring sites throughout the Ruby Range are showing totals from 30-40 inches of new snow. March— out like a Lion.

Mine are in along with the wife and my daughter. I took the plung and put in my first choice for archery deer. Can't believe it but I have a new awesome Mathews bow and a score to settle with a big buck. Now it time for lots of practice. Rite now 30 yards seems a long ways away. Lol
