This years bull was a spike. I just could not resist after last years bull not being that great tasting. Any way I am happy with him. Plus the wife had me buy 2 tags this year. So now I can go look for antlers.

Idaho otc

I could not resist with the head. :D

My first branched antlered bull. DIY public land in WY, stick and string, blessed to harvest him. Bigger one got away, but that is hunting

My first archery bull it was an outfitted hunt in the Wyoming wilderness. 30 minutes of light left on the last day.

Public land nm elk hunt. The wife's very first harvest of any animal. Very proud of her. Was hot hunt. Mid 70s everyday. Bits of bugling here and there. Never forget her reaction.

This set up with the bike is awesome! Gotta think outside the box and mash up diverse skills and styles. I like it.

Put this guy down last week in thick grizzly country. . Luckily I ran into an old outfitter friend who loaned me a pack horse to pull him out in 1 trip instead of on my back! Not the giant I was hunting for, but I was happy to tag out and head to idaho where I finished my season with another high country muley.

Here's the bull I ended up with, along with my guide service. My kids along with my uncle.

somebody knows how to take photos. great scenery shot.
thanks man, i love taking pictures - one of my nerdy hobbies. the nice part about hunting elk is even if youre not seeing them, youre in some pretty amazing country.
