I'm not trying to get people excited by saying this, but it seems that a lot of people have used the vortex warranty which would concern me a little if I were in the market for a new optics. Either their product breaks more often or perhaps it is because people might be harder on "budget" binoculars. I'd personally be most concerned about the quality of the glass instead of comparing slight warranty differences.

I had a pair of leupold cascades that broke without me even touching them one morning. Leupold sent a new pair no questions asked, but I was without binoculars for a period of time on my hunt. I now carry a high end big eye pair and a high end compact pair on my trips.
I have personally sent some of my Vortex stuff in for warranty work, because I can. Stuff that is not necessarily broken, but needs cleaning, or missing lens caps. I have lots of time in the offseason, so I send things in to have them tuned up....I am very hard on things and I do break lots of stuff. I borrowed a Zeiss spotter from a friend a few years ago and broke the micro focus. All things can break, maybe the low end vortex stuff breaks more, hard to say, doubt many people here buy the low end stuff, we may never know. Lol

I have had and have vortex, zeiss, Swarovski, Leica, brunton, etc. I don't care what people say, there is a difference between the japan and the euro glass. It may only come out at certain times, dusk, etc., but they are worth the extra money if you plan on spending hours and hours of time hunting or have the budget. As far as warranties go, I have only used the brunton one and they were fabulous. I would echo what others have said, if the warranty is being used that much, maybe look at something a bit more reliable or durable.

Cabela Euro's Great optic great customer service. I have 10x42 hd. These were an upgrade. I sent old pair in and paid additional cost. They are fantastic optics. Plan on buying 15x before season this year.

I just sent in a 1977 Leupold gold ring, got it completely reconditioned, only cost me $8 to send it there, the rest was free on warranty.

If a optics company wants to stay in business anymore they are going to have to offer a lifetime unconditional warranty.

I have been using Leupold scopes and binoculars almost exclusively for the last 40 years and have yet to send in anything, but after using a pair of binoculars for the last 35 years they really need to be sent in for some items other than the optics.

I just sent in a set of 10x42, 10x50 and a rangefinder for minor work from normal wear and tear after 8 years of hard use. They didn't even work on them and sent me brand new pairs of binos and a brand new rangefinder. I'd send yours in and follow their procedures listed on the web site.

I would say vortex hands down has one of the best warranty on the market! Middle to high end gear for a good price plus the warranty is pretty hard to beat.

The one problem that I have with Vortex is that there are quite a few people that I have heard of that have used their warranty on their optics. Now that doesn't mean that the product is bad but...........

I know what your saying everything made now days is made a lot cheaper. I know I'm in the market for a pair a Swarovskis. The warranty is good and it seems like most stuff now a days the more you spend the better off you are. That's just my two cents though.

I think most optics warranties are pretty solid.

Leupold and Zen Ray both fixed problems I had with their products, be it minor fit/finish type problems, both were fixed for free without any hassle.

Very impressed with Vortex VIP warranty. Never used it for defective parts. Only used it for damaged items on 3 separate occasions. On 2 of the occasions the damage was due to significant impact status post fall. I don't think it would have mattered what brand of optics I had they would have been damaged. The 3rd occasion was carelessness on my part. I was cleaning the bino objective lens not realizing there was loose debris on the objective or the cloth and I scratched it. Didn't interfere with glassing but I sent it in for repair. Seamless process. No questions asked. Repaired quickly and back on my doorstep in no time.
