I'm buying points for antelope, elk and deer. I will be applying in the future. The tags are hard to draw but from everything I read NV is top notch hunting.

Now Im tracking Alabama! Unless you definitely cant hunt that year I would apply for everything. The odds are low but with NV's draw system you could draw anytime and while more points help your odds the more years your in the draw the more likely you are to draw too.

Sound advice!! I wouldn't take the route I did, I'd a probably drawn something if I had put in for all those years I was just buying points!

Yeah I definitely should have put in. Well maybe not elk, I would hate to draw a great tag and have no idea what I'm doing, lol. Then a 10 year wait. I don't really want to hunt deer this year. Antelope or especially elk I want to hunt. (just something different and new) That is good advice and I think I'll apply next year for them all. I think I'm going to apply with UH as a party for deer so maybe he can draw a tag!

Definitely put in, i drew a late archrry tag with two points. Ive heard it usually take 4 or 5.

I can understand that, especially as far away as you are. I started only applying for northern units since they are closer and easier to scout. But I figure the sooner I draw and kill a giant bull, the sooner the wait will be over and I can get another tag

I really wish I was still hunting velvet bucks.
