Montana, now I know who you run with! Justin is a great guy! Is Dave at Judith River Taxidermy doing your bull? He did my 2014 buck image.jpg and he's doing my sons 2015 buck image.jpgcongrats on your great bull!

isnt that Kentucky hunt something new in the last several years?
We have had a season for 12-14 years. KDFWR started releasing elk around 1996-97 and did so for 3 years. Our fish and wildlife trapped them in several states out west and released them in the 16 counties in the far eastern end of the state. Its quota only with the exception of a few tags that get donated to different fundraisers. After applying every year since the beginning I drew a cow tag this year. That hunt starts this Saturday.

That's a great bull and the bike trailer is really cool! I'm a welder and often thought of doing that exact setup! Obama would be proud you took a bull and you did it with climate change in mind LOL ;)

funny, climate change had nothing to do with it. getting away from those dam 4 wheelers is more like it. lol

And I thought I had the elk hunting bug before. Congratulations to all who posted. Maybe there should be a Nonresident thread that has pictures and how many preference points it took to draw the hunt. Kinda giving hope to the people who live in the east who are just starting to hunt the western states. Hopefully hunting Colorado for elk in 2017.
