How do you guys irrigate there?

We don't need no stinking irrigation around here, (unless you are flooding the bogs)

That check I get cut at the end of every summer for the dairy grade alfalfa we sell is worth every single sacrafice I put up with!!!!!

Flood mostly, some wheel lines and a few hand lines on our flat land stuff with no slope.

Not trying to argue MM! I like where I am at and what I do things will be changing sooner than later for me and I'll probably be long gone from here and it'll be up to the rest of the herd to take over.

Whats hard about flooding? just open some valves! lol Wheel lines arent bad if they are in decent shape but when the dang things wont start its another story....

Making sure that it's movin down each dike evenly and most fields will have several dikes. And you can only do so many at a time. Lots of baby sitting! In between runnin back forth from flooded fields we move the hand lines and wheel lines.

I have never flooded much other then some in collage, but moved alot of wheel and hand lines when I was in Oregon.

That is what I was referring too, most guys around here that plant wheat don't have access to irrigation, so it has to rely on natural water
