Congrats!!! That's some self control passing on this class of deer! Sooo what else lurks around ND? The badlands is a beautiful place.

Copperhead, ND is a hidden gem, don't let anyone know about it. I know of 4 people taking 190 inch deer in my unit this year. the best I seen was a 190 all year but couldn't get on him with a bow. The numbers are still down compared to what they once were due to rough winters and oilfield pressure but the opportunity for great muledeer is still there for anyone willing to spend some time looking. It appears ND is going to a one tag system for next year so unfortunately im going to have to give up my rifle tag. its odd how the switch from bow to rifle feels like cheating.

That's a great buck. I've seen quite a few pics of BIG deer coming from the badlands this year.
