Nice deer, do u hunt private ground mainly? I grew up in nd
Well the answer would be I guess its mostly private but its also open to the public. Anything not posted in nd is free game to hunt on, which is becoming less and less every year. Public land isnt overly abundant and more land is posted every year but a guy can usually find a decent buck every year with enough searching. This is the biggest buck ive ever seen alive on the hoof.

Holy crap. Any land that's not posted is huntable. That's nuts. Well technically its like that in KY too, just not legal haha. We have a seriously bad trespassing problem here. And the penalties are weak for it and poaching.

cobb, yes anything in nd that is not posted is legal to hunt as long as you are like 440 yards or something like that away from any inhabited building. it's mostly crop land around my area. most of the best ravines and clumps of trees that hold deer, there aint many trees around here, are posted. but if a guy can find a half harvested corn field that isn't posted, those are usually good places to get set up. you never know how many deer or what kind of deer are in those corn fields, and the rifle season is going on during the rut so bucks are moving all over the place, you don't necessarily need property that is a deer paradise to do well. I've caught decent bucks just lolly gagging around in nothing but flat chisel plowed fields.
