Staying home in the Hood for spring bear this year.

drew hood as my 3rd choice,,hunted it before with not much seen,but its close to home for day trips,maybe ill see something this year,they gotta be around somewhere there with all the orchards in the low lands and decent country up on mt hood

My son and my dad drew West Blues. It's a trip we've been planning for a few years. My daughter drew the youth Minam-Imnaha tag as her fifth choice, but I don't know if we'll hunt it since we have two West Blues tags. My wife and I got nothing.

I also bought a Southwest tag as a Christmas present for a kid from church, but I told him he has to get his Hunter Safety card if he wants to go. So far I don't think I need to worry about going on that trip. Wish he'd get busy.

How many points did it take for you folks to get W.Blue?

My dad had 6 points, and my son had 4, so they averaged 5 points. This is my son's first year to have his own tag, so we were glad to have Grandpa kick in enough points to assure us of drawing. The three of us did a mentored hunt for my son with my tag last year, so everybody's ready for another adventure this spring.
