I would shoot on the first day of my hunt..but wait for him to put his head down and start feeding. He'll probably jump the string if he's paying attention.

I'm with Dan. 60 yards is no problem for me as I routinely practice out to 150 yards. BUT, conditions must be right for me to shoot anything past 60 yards. But I've successfully taken deer and turkey beyond this distance.

Agreed. I think each person has thier limits and shouldn't exceed them regardless of antler size. Personally, I would take this shot all day long. I've also shot turkeys, pronghorn and elk past this distance with success.

At that distance where it is too far for me. Shoot more distance and very proficient in practice but in a field condition I will try to be under 50 and try and get into that 45 yd to 35 yd sweet spot. Also I guess if it is a 180" type buck I am still waiting for the one I am after to step out so he gets the pass..
