Ridgecrest ca,
Hello Guys,

I'm new to the group and sure appreciate being able to view the excitement and sharing of information. Ive been archery hunting for 25 years and still get the fever each and every year. There is nothing like it.

I am a Hunter's Education Instructor and I am Certified as a Bow Hunter Education Instructor. I firmly believe if we don't stay on top of our heritage and educate our youth, we are going to lose this amazing opportunity.

Ive been putting in for special draws in just about every western state possible and have been fortunate enough to draw one archery tag in California for the Tule Elk Unit in the Owens Valley. Wow. What a hunt. I was able to take a nice 7x7.

This year, believe it or not I actually drew the second archery season for area 16D. I feel like I just won the lottery!! I'm looking for some advice if anyone is willing to share. I know finding good information can be difficult and very sensitive so I understand and respect those that want to keep information sacred. I'm willing to walk/pack in, do whatever it takes to get into a good quality area. I hear there is good road access in certain areas and that there is elk found just about everywhere in the unit. I'm the person who doesn't like a full parking lot of folks and would like to get away from the crowds. So any information would be greatly appreciated. I would be willing to pay or do some horsetrading for some good information. Thanks again, looking forward to hearing from you.
