Many moons ago when I was looking to get into silhouette shooting a group that I was shooting pistols with tried hitting turkey sized targets at 1000 yards. Once you figured in the dope you could do it quite often. If I would pull out my Thompson Center Contender I could do it 6 out of 10 times on a windless day, but shooting open sights you were just pretending that you knew where the target was at once you started to elevate the barrel.

I like the fact that he recycles his lead and tumbles his brass in a cement mixer and dries them in an oven on big cookie sheets. lol
