My 2021 general bull. Not my biggest by a long shot but a great hunt. I ended up shooting him at 35 yards while he was bugling after a whole archery season of not getting closer than 75 yards.

I get out when I can. It is always a good way to burn off some cabin fever from winter. Picked up a few shed this year but having a kid this year cut back on the available time.

I think there is a happy medium somewhere between how Wyoming handles bears and how Alaska handles bears. I grew up trapping and hunting on Kodiak and have a handful of encounters with bears but never anything that was really sketchy. I never carried spray or a handgun until I was in my 20s(I...
