With no snow and warm temperatures so far, where should one look for elk for the season starting November 24th? I've scouted areas that held elk last December with more snow, but this year are void of any tracks. Unfortunately my scouting day alotment is up so I'll be heading into an area...

So I didn't think I'd actually draw unit 20 for elk, but I did. I've only hiked there in the National Park. I am just starting to look at the DOW site and maps. That being said, is there anyone in the area that could direct a newbie on where to hunt?

Anyone here hunt here for elk or deer? Got drawn for a 3rd season buck deer and a late season cow tag. I picked this unit because it is close to home and I've heard the cows are easier to get with more snow. I thought about holding out for a bull in 20, but I'd prefer to hunt this unit more...

I'm looking at any season in 57/58, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in 20, MZ in 12/24/23, MZ in 33,23,24 and lastly unit 49 for 2nd, 3rd, or 4th seasons. I haven't narrowed it down much, but I should be able to draw most of these tags. What I'm wondering is if anyone has any experience in these units or...

I am a resident of CO and have a place in Salida to stay. So my next question is how is the hunting around there? I know the areas around Leadville and Salida don't have point restrictions so that really makes me wonder about the quality and quantity of bulls. What effects does no point...
