My condolences to you and your family. I hope that today can be a day for you to celebrate her life.

Did you weigh the brass at all. The wall thickness of the two could be significantly different. Sorry if it's been mentioned already.

If by some miracle I ended up with a Commissioner tag, I would have to come onto this forum and start asking for advice. I would have no idea which area to pick. The majority of my research is focused on areas that I can draw with 4 to 5 points because I don't want to wait 13+ years to go...

Nice mounts! I really like that paneling that's beautiful!

The way I understand it, it is species specific so you have to purchase 1 deer PP every two years to maintain your points. I could be wrong but that was always my understanding.

I've used cat food, dog food just about everything. I will typically use it after I get them hitting, I like to start out with something sweeter and add in the dog or cat food after I have them coming in.

I'm jealous, I have lots of cedar, spruce and pine that I have dreams of sawing up and building a cabin. Some day after the kids are out of college I hope to get one.

The very first time I hunted out west, my brother and I were in Montana and came across a couple of guys skinning an Elk. Sounded like they both had put bullets into to it. Anyway as they pulled the hide off the front shoulder there was a bullet that fell out. Th e gentlemen said that he was...

I would have to say Archery Elk. I have done it unsuccessfully and have gotten totally hooked. I love the sound of a bull elk screaming at me one of the best things I have experienced in the outdoors.

My son and daughter both had good years this past year each killing two bucks. My daughter decided she wanted her brother to take her hunting one evening. He also had a good year, this is one of his two bucks.

That .340 combined with 225 grain TTSX would be a go to round for anything in North America. I love my .340s.

Picture from our church's venison super.

Back when I had my FFL a guy at work asked me to order him a rifle, scope, and mounts. The evening of the day I gave it to him he called me up and said that the bolt on the rifle was stuck halfway in. I asked what he had done and he said he mounted the scope and tried to cycle the action and...

I took one of my boys antelope hunting when he was around 14 years old. We had spotted a nice buck that was on the move so we had to hustle to get to the end of this little ridge so we could see him down in the basin it was in. So I was crouched over shuffling down the ridge and I look back...

I finally found it. I am not going to admit how much time I spent looking for it.

Yeah, that's equivalent to a mic drop. Really incredible photos.

I agree. I know what I am capable of, I do not have access to a 1000 yard range. I do routinely practice out to 450 yards. I feel comfortable at that distance, I shoot rifles that are capable of much more than that but I do not believe that I am capable of much more than that.

I know there are a few 340 weatherby guys on this forum. I just wanted to let them know that Nosler has a really good sale on their 340 wby Custom Ammo. If you are interested go to the Nosler website. I purchased mine already not sure how long their supply will last.

I have made the same observation. Most of the guys I know that are into the ARs could care less about hunting, but they love shooting.

Case in point, does it make sense that anyone can go to a grocery store park in the parking lot walk in buy what you need and leave, but people cannot go to a church parking lot, stay in their cars and participate in a church service FROM THEIR CARS. My state has listed recreational marijuana...
