Just returned from our annual spring javelina hunt in AZ. 3 tags were filled out of five we had total in our camp. Like always, it was great being in the outdoors spending time with friends and family. I was able to take a nice old boar. I'll be making sausage with the meat.

What chances does a non resident actually have of drawing a Valle Vidal or Valleys Caldera elk hunt?

When applying for elk tags, do you guys consider success rates over draw odds or would you rather have the opportunity to hunt rather than a better chance at an elk?

Which variable scope do you all prefer.... 4-12x40 or 6-18x40??? Just looking for opinions. Thanks!

Headed up to New Mexico unit 37 for my first scouting trip of the season. I may leave some trail cams in place just to see whats going on up there. If anyone has had any experience in this unit please let me know. I was fortunate enough to draw a muzzleloader elk tag up there this year.
