Hi, Can anyone give me advice on the best time of year to scout for deer and elk? I have tags for both species in area 71 and 72 late season. I am anxious to go sooner rather than later, but I suspect where I find deer now will not be their location in October. Not so sure on the elk. Thanks

Hi, I am new to this forum. After ten years of applying I drew a late season area 71 deer tag AND a late season area 72 elk tag. Go figure. I hunted area 71 for deer back in 1986 but I've not hunted for elk in Nevada. Any suggestions on info sources, etc would be greatly appreciated. Great site...
