I didn't touch the snake. Its just a gopher snake and it was at 10,800'. I took a picture of it and left it right where I found it. Packing the shed out while hunting just was not practical. Not even in the least little bit. I travel with a very small day pack and would have had to carry it...

We took that picture and left it lying there... Packing it around for the rest of the day in the terrain we were in was NOT an option. My wife did not agree at the time but about an hour later she understood why we left it. lol

I made it home. Here are some pictures from my hunt. 80 Miles of Elk hunting in 8.5 days. This was a pretty grueling hunt with a lot of ups and downs (Pun Intended).

I reloaded some Nosler ballistic tip hunting bullets out of my Father in laws .270 with very good results. Never killed an animal with this but I would assume they are pretty deadly judging form the two bucks I shot with my 30-06 last year with basically the same load. They both died...

Found this under the brush hog at our lease.... 12 rattles. 13 babies inside of it. When they came spewing out the 9MM bullet holes they were striking at anything that moved...right up until I gave them the stick coup-de-grace..... Got the fields planted.

Whats best is I know where slimy pebble is at...lol Been in the bars there many times in my 20's with fair to midland success.
