    My Coues Buck is Home

Yep, I had that tag two years in a row, now it will possibility take me the full 8 years to ever draw it again. I don't plan on going back unless my partner who was doing the spotting draws or if another friend wants to head into it.

    Prefect gift for my brother

I don't think that there is a folding bed out there that is worth the price of junk when you try to sleep on it.

    California bans trapping...

California got their foot in the door on the ban by looking at the amount of trapping license that they issued which were not very many. That plus no furs had been sold in California in a very long time. So they knew that if they put a ban in place they would only tick off a very few...

Nice thing about hunting the mountains

Snake proof ones are made out of a heavy nylon or material where the fangs can not penetrate. Most standard gaiters are just thin nylon and really wouldn't provide any extra protection.

    Preparing for the hunt

A few plastic sandwich bags are at times worth their weight in gold. Get the sealing type. I use them for wet wipes, and TP mostly and I usually just stick them into my pants pockets to have them no matter what. But they come in handy if you get into some bad weather and you have a few...

    RCBS Metallic Reloading Intro Kit?

One other thing, if I recommend a kit it would be the RCBS Rockchucker Supreme kit. It is a little bit spendy but it is worth it. The Rockchucker press is around $189 by it self. But RCBS builds quality items that are in the kit...

    RCBS Metallic Reloading Intro Kit?

I'd just get a kit. The kit will include just about everything you need to start putting rounds together. Then down the road you can start updating the parts and pieces as you go along. I started with a Lyman kit and since then I have changed out the scale 3 times and have added items. The...

    FALL !!!!

Why do you keep your beer so hot for? Don't you know that the perfect beer temperature is 34-36 degrees? 🍺🍺 And as for your water, that is bath water and I mean that literally if you are on the Phoenix area water systems. Now that 110 in the shade is what I think about when I think of...

    On The Go Hunting Maps

After not updating a couple of my maps on OnX for a few years I decided to do it this year only to find out that you needed to purchase a membership to do so. This ticked me off to the point that I decided to just go with what I have and forget about the updates. I am mostly just interested in...

Back Home from Elk/Deer hunt Unit 18/28

At least it sounds like you had fun along with the rest of the tribe. Hunting here in the west is a learning experience. As you found out your binoculars were just as good as a spotting scope for the area that you were in. That extra weight on a pack empty doesn't sound like much until you...

    It’s been a minute...model 71 348

Go onto Gunbroker and you will see prices all over the place for it. The problem now is ammo. Winchester makes a seasonal run of it with 200 grain bullets but that is usually scarfed up as fast as it comes out. Same with Winchester brass, very hard to find. About the only ones putting out...
