    Decisions, decisions...

Whew! That was a close one. I've spent many, many hours on this and kind of panicked that I wasted all my time in ignorance! I do have a couple elk points, but won't be spending them this year. This is pretty much a once-in-a lifetime dream MD hunt for the three of us to go together.

    Decisions, decisions...

Ok thank you for responding. If you are correct, I'm completely not understanding the Colorado draw results. I'm hoping you can open and read these draw results from CO in the attachments and see what you think. As I read it, for 2023 in Unit 30 for season 3, I would have needed at least...

    Decisions, decisions...

So my dad, brother, and I each have 13 preference points for mule deer in colorado. I've been doing some online research and chatting with friends there. Haven't called the game managers yet, but will try them next week. We are trying to decide between Unit 30, 3rd season and Unit 61, 2nd...

    What’s Everyone Doing?

At the moment, I'm getting a new Savage 110 Lightweight Storm in 6.5 CM setup to sight in. And working on research for a colorado muley hunt this fall with my dad and brother. Also, reloading for my brother for his new Tikka T3x Lightweight in 7mm RM. Oh, and not to mention, procrastinating...

    What’s Everyone Doing?

In North Idaho, the only luck I've had with calling in wolves was with howl calls, but I haven't been able to get an actual shot at one. They are so dam smart. Have you heard of this organization?: The Foundation for Wildlife Management – Ensuring ungulate populations recover in areas...

Thank you very much for that advice. I was a bit concerned about that so I will keep that in mind when I’m looking at units/seasons.

    Hello from N. Idaho

Thank you very much. That is excellent intel. I suspected that might be the case. Some of these events are better than others. I’m inclined to do a DYI hunt, but if the price is right would consider drop camp. Expense of a full outfitter hunt is out of reach.

    Hello from N. Idaho

Hey there. Understandable that there's not a lot of users on the forum right now. I was thinking about going to the western hunting expo in Salt Lake City next month, but not sure at the moment if I'll be able to, and not sure if its worth a weekend trip for me from where I'm at. Do you know...

    Hello from N. Idaho

Hey all. Been a subscriber to Eastman's on and off for several years and just now discovered this forum exists. Grew up hunting in WI and moved to N. Idaho 10 years ago. Hunting mostly elk, deer, bear, and wolf. Also killed a Shiras moose in 2014, and got a caribou in Quebec in 2008. So...
