    Photographic Evidence

Here's proof that bears do indeed **** in the woods, in case there was any question this should clear that up. Pulled this off my trail cameras last night.

    Arrowheads found?

Here are a couple I found during my grad research (I spent a lot of time looking at the ground).

    Get the Gear!

Everytime I see this it sadly sometimes reminds me of myself trying to prepare for a hunt, even tho they are going 'hiking' I think you can easily replace that with hunting. Also, the segways at the end I think you could just replace with one of those 'quietkats'...

    Painted Taxidermy

My wife had an idea to paint some deer and antelope shoulder mounts just something different and if nothing else they make great conversation pieces. I was able to find some shoulder mounts through some different auctions, mostly for $30-$50 so about the right price range to try it out. Just...

    Things found while Hunting

I was hunting elk in Southern Wyo when I found an old Prince Albert tobacco tin nailed to a tree, thought that was an odd thing to find and opened it up and inside was a 1937 mining claim, pretty cool. Wished he would have of nailed the front of the tin to the tree instead of the back, but...

Those are very nice Tim, it's a nice way to display european mounts. Here's a bear of mine I did from a couple years back.

    Euro Plaque/ Euro photo thread

Thought I would try a different way to display my european mounts and came up with this, I also have a few other ideas I'm working on. This is also a no-drill mount which I much prefer over drilling into the skulls. I Would like to see some of your own ways to display euro mounts, I'm sure...

    Wyoming Mule Deer

Here's something a little different for you guys, I kept the heart (like I always do) but also kept the caul fat. I wrapped the heart up with the caul fat and baked it in the over over sweet potatoes and onions, It tasted much better than the picture makes it look! As hunters I always think we...

    Wyoming Mule Deer

Thanks, I thought that picture turned out pretty cool, I also have about 50 more, took me a little bit to figure out my nighttime settings on my camera but I think I got it done. It was a pretty neat sandstone overhang we found below camp and rounded up some sagebrush and grease wood for our fire.

    Wyoming Mule Deer

Finally got some time to post my Mule Deer hunt from this year. I hadn't actually had much of a plan for mule deer this year, it was more of a 'if I see one I'll shoot it' kind of plan. But I had a friend invite me on a hunt with him, bit of a walk in to camp, but it has been an area he has...

    Large Critter Meat handling

Wanted to get some opinions/advice/tips on handling a large critter (bison)so to lose zero meat. My plan is to have the bison quartered and in meat bags hung in a tree and packed out hopefully within 12 hrs or less depending on a few factors. Im wondering if a plan like this will be enough to...

    Wyo Bison

Wyo Bison- WGFD Story uploaded 2/22/16 Didn't really know where to post this topic so hopefully this will work. So this year I managed to not draw a single tag this year, not even a cow elk tag... To say the least I was getting a little hard to be around, so my wife says. Then in early June...

    2013 Wyoming Bear

I'm new to the forum but thought even tho this is from a couple years ago it would still be enjoyed, this is a bear I took in southern Wyoming during the Fall 2013 season, it was also my first bear I've ever taken. It was a sow that aged out to 10.5 years old. I decided to have it rugged and...

    Active!

I had joined the forum last year but never was active in the community, probably signed up and then got busy and then forgot and... you know how it goes. Looking forward to learning from hunters here and hopefully someone can learn something from some failures and successes I've personally had...
