Pete, I generally go north via the Cassiar highway, it bypasses the Toad river. It's a little shorter route for me and I see lots more bears. We'll see when they open the boarder though! Hope to head up around mid-May.

One that stands out for me was my first caribou hunt. Probably 1976 or 1977. It was a walk-in area, near the Denali highway. I hiked in about 5 miles and camped out alone. I woke up to new snow and glassed up a small band of caribou about a mile away across a valley. The group had 2 nice bulls...

I had an email from Idaho fish and game that advised that Non-Resident hunters are not eligible to apply for hunting license or tags right now. If they had already bought them, they're still valid. You can still apply for the draw hunts when they come around.

I've been advised that the Governor and Fish and Game have shut down both brown and black bear seasons this spring. Only subsistence hunting will be allowed. I don't recall being in a crowd with I've hunted bears.

After all this quarantine at home stuff, there may not be any left!

180hp, that was the company's cub. 40 Mile Air. A friend took the photo for me. My personal cub has the 180 also. Great on floats!
