Rich M Good post. Yeah, nothins' a given in fair chase. I would definitely use a guide for such a prized tag, though. The ticks have been a major problem for quite a few years up there. So, the Maine draw is today, and Wyoming is in 5 days. If I hit both, I'm gonna have a very busy season. If I...

Hoping to pull another rabbit out of the hat with another muley tag on a zero points special tag. Don't laugh, I did it last year.:D Also hoping that after 33 years, this will be my year for a Maine moose tag.

Draw Results start tomorrow all week long !!!!

I feel your pain. I've been applying over 30 years for a Maine bull tag. Now, I'm in my mid 60s and starting to get nervous.

    Best unit in Wy?

I look at this way. I can hold out and wait 15, 20, 30 years to draw a premium tag and maybe/maybe not, shoot a bragging buck of monstrous proportions. After all, there are no guarantees in fair chase. Personally, I'd rather draw every 2-3 years and get out hunting. At the end of my life I can...

When did you kill your first deer?

Two things in life I have been fortunate enough to have never experienced are scope eye, and a hangover. And believe me, I have tried about as hard as a person can try, in 64 years, to get a hangover.😂

    Antelope or deer?

I love to eat antelope, but hunting mule deer is just about my favorite thing to do.

Help me decide. Model 7 caliber change.

I just recently had a Ruger RL tanger rebarreled to .260 Rem. I specified an 8 twist, in case I decided on larger projectiles. It shoots 120 TTSXs so well, I'll probably leave it at that. I've shot a lot of game with a 7-08 and 120 TTSXs, and have been very impressed with their performance and...

    American made rifle

I know, it's a 3 y/o thread. But I need to brag on my Kimber 7-08 Montana and Ruger RL tanger rebarreled by McGowen to 260 Rem with an 8/1 twist.

What Is Your Favorite All Around Caliber...And Why????

7-08 and 260 Rem. With an 8 twist, both punch way above their class. 35 Whelen for anything in North America that those two won't handle.

I know. It's an old thread. But I'm new here. Kowa TSN-553/554. Alpha optics in a 28 oz package. I prefer the straight TSN-554.
