I was born in Durango believe it or not. My deer lease is about an hour NW of Eastland, maybe hour and half between Woodson and Throckmorton. Yup too many pigs to kill they just keep breeding. Too many yotes too. Headed out in a couple of weeks to work on a blind and get the Fox Pro out.
Got it, I assumed you were from Texas. Sorry about your friend. I used to hunt with a guy from Eastland. His place was out by Cisco. Had some great times with John. He taught me a lot about whitetails and how to set up a place for success. He was a big smoker, used to get a Xmas card from him every year. After Covid, I could never get a hold of him again and the cards stopped coming. Almost positive Covid got him but I cannot get any info on what may have happened. It's hell getting old !
