IKIC, I breezed through the regs last nite and couldn't find any info on weather or not an unsuccessful applicant on the second draw receives a point. Do you know anything about it?
If you draw in the 2nd draw you WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR POINTS! Dont go in the 2nd draw if you have points saved or if you want to keep the point you just got for not drawing in the first draw. Makes no sense to me but thats how they do it.IKIC, I breezed through the regs last nite and couldn't find any info on weather or not an unsuccessful applicant on the second draw receives a point. Thanks Jason, I new if an applicant drew in the second draw they would loose all points for that species but couldn't fine any info on gaining points in the second draw. You will not get another point, if you don't draw you'll retain the point from the first drawing only. If you are successful in the second drawing you will lose all points.
So I'm correct in concluding that this is one of the dumbest rules in all of the states' application processes? I would consider entering the second draw one of these years for a first time hunting trip to Nevada, but obviously not at the expense of losing my points. If you draw in the 2nd draw you WILL LOOSE ALL YOUR POINTS! I know last year the Rubies had 200+ tags up for grabs after the second draw. Should be able to draw if you want it.Like an idiot I forgot to apply on time during the first draw. I would like to hunt the Rubies during archery season and if I'm unsuccessful then I can earn a point. I have zero points going in since I drew last year.
Are you and your niece willing to hike several miles in??My niece struck out in Wyoming and I don't like the options for leftovers in Wyo either. Can someone maybe point me to an area, like the rubies that I could at least try to get her a tag and take her hunting. Am I gonna have to buy her a hunting license (do they offer discounts for youth??)
Thanks gentlemen!
I would but she is kinda light hearted(Wuss) if you know what I mean. I'm at a loss, I only know the top units in NV but nothing about the crap shoot units or how to obtain one after the initial draw! Are you and your niece willing to hike several miles in??
